About

I’m Adrien Hirvoas, an independent research engineer and the founder of Analyzenn, a consultancy specialising in data science applied to the marine environment. My purpose is to put data analysis to work in support of the sustainable use of marine energy resources. Spanning mechanics, applied mathematics and programming, my work follows one consistent thread: understanding and modelling the complex phenomena that govern the marine environment.

My expertise is grounded in research. After graduating as a generalist engineer from IFMA, I completed a research master’s degree in mechanics, materials, structures and reliability at Université Blaise Pascal (Clermont-Ferrand), then a PhD in applied mathematics carried out in partnership with IFP Energies Nouvelles and the Jean Kuntzmann Laboratory at Université Grenoble Alpes. That doctoral research deepened my command of statistical inference, sensitivity analysis and optimisation — the technical foundations my metocean analyses still rely on today.

After several years developing technologies for marine energy, I brought this multidisciplinary expertise directly to offshore operators by founding Analyzenn. I’m based in Brittany, close to the maritime regions I work in.

Today, I work internationally with offshore operators and engineering firms, in both French and English, turning complex environmental data into reliable, actionable analysis.
